Job summary

Meta is seeking Network Production Engineers to design, build, and operate a global datacenter/backbone network. You’ll work on automation, tooling, and data analytics to keep our network reliable and scalable across data centers, backbone and edge networks.

You will engage in on-call rotations, collaborate with hardware and software teams, and contribute to evolving networking solutions for AI workloads powering Meta products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience designing, building or operating scalable networks/systems.
• Experience coding in at least one language (Python, C++, Go, Rust, Java).
• Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/6, BGP/MPLS/ISIS and related network services.
• Experience configuring network devices in multi-vendor environments.
• Experience with network devices, NMS systems, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices and scalable network solutions.
• Build and maintain automation to support deployments, releases and operations.
• Design solutions that scale across hardware platforms.
• Lead automation improvements for CI, testing, release, and config management.
• Collaborate with hardware, software and sourcing teams on new networking solutions.
• Investigate complex network issues across tooling, hardware and configuration.
• Develop operational processes and automate workflows to boost efficiency.
• Identify roadblocks, design automation, and drive cross-team changes.
• Proactively find gaps and execute plans across teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and share lessons for future products.
• Mentor peers and contribute to team growth.
