Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Production Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable global backbone, data center, and AI network. You will develop automation, tooling, and workflows to support product introductions, deployments, and operations.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, on-call readiness, and improving efficiency through robust network design and AI-assisted workflows. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience and strong multi-vendor expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable and reliable networks/systems.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, C++, Go, Rust or Java).
• Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6, and routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, ISIS) and related services.
• Experience configuring multi-vendor network devices (Juniper, Cisco, Arista) and managing NMS.
• Experience maintaining network devices, services, and related applications.
• Master's degree or graduate work in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices and design new scalable network solutions.
• Build and maintain automation and tools to support product introductions, deployment, and operations.
• Design solutions that scale across diverse hardware platforms and networks.
• Lead automation enhancements for CI, testing, release, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to influence future networking infrastructure.
