Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Principal Scientist, Advanced Manufacturing to define and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies across the global synthetic drug network. You will partner with MSAT, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Site Leadership to accelerate technology adoption and improve process robustness.

This role requires a PhD/MS and 10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical development or MSAT, with a track record of technology transfers, lifecycle management, and data-driven

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Data Science, or related field required.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, MSAT, process engineering, or related technical functions.
• Experience leading global deployment of complex manufacturing technologies and successful technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global deployment strategies for advanced manufacturing technologies across the synthetic manufacturing network.
• Lead global deployment of advanced manufacturing and integrated quality technologies following an End-to-End Deployment Process.
• Define and communicate compelling business cases for deployment opportunities across sites and functions.
• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing modernization initiatives and data-driven solutions.
• Engage with sites, platform teams, and external collaborators to drive innovation and cross-site alignment.
