Job summary

Legend Biotech, based in Bridgewater, NJ, seeks a Head of Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) to lead enterprise technical strategy across late-stage development through commercial manufacturing and lifecycle management. You will drive process characterization, validation, transfer, and continuous improvement to ensure robust, scalable, and capable manufacturing operations in a global network.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree, preferably PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• 20+ years of progressive MSAT, process development, or related biopharma leadership.
• Global MSAT leadership experience for commercial biopharma products.
• Expertise in process characterization, validation, CPV, process optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to lead complex decisions across R&D, CMC, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global MSAT strategy and operating model.
• Establish global technical standards, capabilities, and governance for manufacturing.
• Serve as senior technical authority for process capability, robustness, and scalability.
• Own strategy for process characterization, validation, CPV, and monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve yield, capacity, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Lead technology transfer and manufacturing readiness from development to commercial operations.
• Ensure transfer of knowledge, control strategies, and capabilities into networks.
• Provide input to major network, capacity, and commercialization decisions.
• Lead lifecycle management, scale-up/scale-out, and site transfers.
• Leverage data science, analytics, and digital manufacturing to improve performance.
• Build and lead a global MSAT organization with strong technical depth.
