Legend Biotech, a leading global biotech company, seeks a Head of Global Manufacturing Science & Technology to lead MSAT strategy and governance across the manufacturing network in Bridgewater, NJ. You will drive process robustness, technology transfer, and lifecycle optimization from development through commercial operations.

The role demands 20+ years in MSAT/biopharma, global leadership, and a track record of cross-functional influence, advanced analytics, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline.
• 20+ years of experience in MSAT, process development, or related biopharmaceutical functions with global leadership.
• Global MSAT leadership experience for commercial biopharmaceutical products, including cell/gene therapy or advanced modalities.
• Strong expertise in process characterization, validation, technology transfer, CPV, process optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to lead complex technical decisions across R&D, CMC, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Enterprise technical leadership with strong business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Executive presence with influence across functions and organizational boundaries.
• Data-driven, scientifically rigorous, and pragmatic approach to manufacturing.
• Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement; develops people and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global MSAT strategy and operating model aligned with business priorities.
• Establish global technical standards, capabilities, and governance for manufacturing processes across sites.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for process capability, robustness, scalability, and performance.
• Own the technical strategy for process characterization, validation, CPV, and process monitoring.
• Drive systematic improvements to yield, reliability, capacity, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Lead investigations for deviations and recurring performance issues; identify risks and mitigation.
• Provide MSAT leadership for technology transfer and readiness from development to commercial operations.
• Ensure effective transfer of knowledge, control strategies, and manufacturing capabilities across networks.
