Legend Biotech US is seeking an Associate Scientist for Global MSAT Automation in Somerset, NJ. The role combines cell therapy manufacturing studies with basic lab operations, supporting automated instrument workflows and managing inventory under GMP conditions.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with automation development teams and procurement to ensure real-time tracking, aseptic techniques, and material readiness in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or biotechnology (master’s preferred).
• 2+ years hands-on experience in cell therapy manufacturing operations or GMP biologics/manufacturing development.
• High proficiency in aseptic techniques within a Grade B cleanroom environment.
• Working knowledge of cold-chain logistics and short-shelf-life material handling.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic, high-throughput setting.
• Experience ordering and managing materials for cell therapy manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with lab inventory software featuring barcoding and real-time tracking.

Responsibilities

• Cell Therapy Processing Support — Perform cell culture enrichment, maintenance and analytical assays using cell therapy manufacturing processes, automated platforms, and instruments.
• Ordering & Procurement — Manage the full ordering lifecycle via designated lab inventory platforms, including processing material requests, and tracking shipments.
