Job summary

Sanofi Inc. in Framingham, MA invites applications for Head Analytical Science & Technology to lead the team overseeing Manufacturing and Quality Control analytics across the global biologics network. You will manage ~30 scientists and engineers and report to Head Recombinant DS Analytics.

The role focuses on analytical tech transfer, method validation, lifecycle management, regulatory filings, and driving digital solutions while fostering a high-performance, safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.
• 8+ years of experience leading high-performing teams.
• Profound knowledge of biologics analytics, analytical Tech Transfer and regulatory filings.
• Deep expertise in specification setting, control strategy, comparability assessments and characterization testing.
• Extensive knowledge in disruptive Analytical Lifecycle Management, including automation.
• Experience with method validation and health authority inspections.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategy for analytical Tech Transfer, method validation and Analytical Lifecycle Management.
• Characterize products and develop control strategies with fit-for-purpose test methods.
• Provide analytical support for commercial manufacturing, including troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
• Ensure robust method performance and drive analytical rationalization and harmonization (e.g., reduction of registered methods).
• Support regulatory filings and inspections.
• Own lab workflows and processes and lead the implementation of digital solutions.
• Lead, coach and develop the MSAT team (scientists, engineers, PhDs); plan resources, prioritize activities and foster a high-performance, safety-first culture.
• Partner with the global network and influence strategic decisions in business-critical programs.
