Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an MRO Commodity Manager to lead the MRO category and drive regional implementations of global sourcing strategies. You will work with global category leaders and cross-functional teams to generate value and savings while aligning regional plans with corporate objectives.

Responsibilities include creating strategic plans, managing supplier relationships, conducting quarterly business reviews, and driving cost reductions through supplier rationalization and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and KPI/performance management.
• Ability to lead supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation and implementation.
• Strong analytical skills and cost/service analysis capabilities.
• Experience leading global or regional teams and strategy execution.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement strategic plans delivering 3-5% annual improvements on spend.
• Lead MRO category and regional implementations aligning global strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, KPI tracking, and performance reviews.
• Conduct bids, negotiations, and contractual implementations with suppliers.
• Coordinate regional projects outside the global scope and drive cost reductions.
• Generate timely reporting and drive continuous improvement in total cost of ownership.
