Job summary

Wabtec in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a seasoned MRO Commodity Manager to lead cross-functional strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize the supplier panel, and drive 3-5% annual cost improvements across assigned spend categories.

You will manage supplier relationships, develop regional implementations of global strategies, and oversee quarterly business reviews while ensuring ethical standards and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in sourcing or procurement.
Experience in supplier relationship management, KPI and performance management.
Demonstrated ability to lead supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, contracting and implementation.
Strong analytical skills (financial, spend, supply market).
Cost and service analysis and recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex global or regional teams.
Demonstrated project or program management experience.
Experience in strategy development and execution.
Demonstrated success in supplier development.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and manage multiple objectives.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to gain consensus through collaboration.
Proficient with ERP systems and eSourcing tools (Oracle, M3, Microsoft BI).

Responsibilities

Create and implement strategic plans which deliver 3-5% annual improvement on assigned spend categories.
Lead MRO category and work regionally to gain consensus aligning global strategies through regional implementations.
Run data analysis and recommend changes to the supplier panel to improve cost and service levels.
Lead optimization projects such as process improvements and supplier rationalization.
Plan and execute quarterly business reviews with preferred suppliers and monitor action plans.
Coordinate regional projects and buyers for categories outside the global scope.
Follow best practices of sourcing and supply management.
Generate timely and accurate reporting on progress towards objectives.
Understand and follow corporate policy including ethical standards.
