Job summary

Wabtec seeks a seasoned MRO Commodity Manager to lead indirect sourcing across MRO categories and regional deployments. You will drive supplier evaluations, negotiations, and implementations while coordinating cross-functional teams to realize savings and value.

You will leverage ERP/eSourcing tools, manage KPIs and SLAs, and align global strategies with regional execution. A hybrid work model and a performance bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (supply chain, labor studies/IR, business, science)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement
• Experience in supplier relationship management and KPI/performance management
• Proven ability to lead supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, contracting and implementation
• Strong analytical skills (financial, spend, supply market)
• Cost and service analysis and recommendations
• Experience leading complex global or regional teams
• Project or program management experience
• Strategy development and execution experience
• Demonstrated supplier development experience
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment with multiple objectives
• Strong communication and consensus-building skills
• Proficiency with ERP and eSourcing tools (Oracle, M3, Microsoft BI)
• Familiar with financial reporting and lean tools

Responsibilities

• Create and implement strategic plans delivering 3-5% annual improvement on spend categories
• Lead MRO category initiatives and regional implementations
• Run data analysis and propose supplier panel improvements
• Lead process optimization and supplier rationalization projects
• Plan and execute quarterly business reviews with suppliers
• Conduct competitive bids and master-supply negotiations
• Coordinate regional projects for categories outside global scope
• Share best sourcing practices and follow corporate policy
• Generate timely progress reporting toward objectives
• Travel as needed up to 25% of role
