Job summary

Emerson is seeking a strategic Segment Marketing Director for Motion Control to lead global marketing for the Motion Control segment, collaborating with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing Communications to drive growth across industries.

You will build market intelligence, shape GTMs for launches, and develop a high-performing team while advancing KPIs and portfolio opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Leadership experience commensurate with the scope and level of the position.
• Demonstrated experience developing market strategies and translating market and customer insights into growth opportunities.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically and internationally.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the segment marketing strategy for the global Motion Control business, identifying industries, applications, technologies, and growth opportunities.
• Build a robust market intelligence capability, including market sizing, segmentation, customer insights, competitive analysis, and trends.
• Lead market and growth inputs into SBU strategic planning, informing priorities and resource allocation.
• Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and growth programs to drive adoption and revenue.
• Guide positioning, value propositions, messaging, and pricing strategies to differentiate our portfolio.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to translate market needs into product opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Communications on customer engagement, demand generation, and training strategies.
• Identify portfolio whitespace and potential partnerships to support long-term growth.
• Establish KPIs and operating rhythms to measure program effectiveness and adjust actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Motion Control Segment Marketing team.
