Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking an Experienced Tax Associate to join our Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice. This role focuses on expatriate tax planning, compliance, and consulting, offering growth opportunities and flexible work arrangements across our global network.

You will work with HR, tax, and payroll teams to optimize mobility programs, while gaining exposure to international tax projects and client-facing advisory."

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain CPA, JD or EA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. individual income tax returns for inbound/outbound expatriates.
• Participate in arrival/departure tax meetings for expatriates.
• Prepare U.S. payroll estimates including hypothetical tax and shadow payroll.
• Communicate with corporate clients and assignees.
• Assist with consulting projects (compensation, policies, ad hoc work).
• Conduct tax research and review tax notices.
• Coordinate with workforce teams and assist with practice management duties.
• Collaborate with Baker Tilly member firms globally.
• Provide technical guidance to tax professionals firm-wide.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
