Job summary

Baker Tilly, a leading CPA advisory firm, seeks an Experienced Tax Associate to join its Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice. You will deliver expatriate tax planning, consulting, and compliance for inbound and outbound assignees, enabling clients to navigate cross-border tax challenges with a practical, business-oriented approach.

You will collaborate with HR, tax, and payroll teams, work with Baker Tilly member firms worldwide, and participate in firm-wide learning and development programs

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required
• Eligible to obtain CPA, JD or EA
• 1 year professional experience
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field required
• GPA 3.0+ preferred
• Interest in pursuing CPA, JD or EA
• Experience with individual income tax issues and expatriate taxation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. individual income tax returns and tax equalization for inbound/outbound assignees
• Prepare U.S. payroll estimates including hypothetical tax and shadow payroll
• Communicate with corporate clients and assignees
• Assist with compensation, internal policies, and other ad hoc activities
• Conduct tax research and review notices
• Coordinate with and assist workforce teams across firms
• Assist with practice management tasks such as reviewing compliance reports and client billing
• Collaborate with Baker Tilly member firms worldwide
• Provide technical guidance to tax professionals firm-wide
• Engage in learning and development programs and build client relationships
