Job summary

Vialto seeks a Tax Specialist to uphold compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax processes for employees on international assignments. You will manage the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitate smooth transitions for staff moving across borders.

The role focuses on reducing tax-related risks and costs while ensuring adherence to applicable laws. This is a regular full-time, hybrid position located in San Jose with a mid‑January start, offering opportunities to collaborate

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in managing tax-related inquiries for federal and state taxes, social security, and payroll.
  • Prepare, review, and file tax returns for globally mobile employees within deadlines.
  • Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies to employees and clients.
  • Support internal teams and employees in understanding tax responsibilities for international assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Stay informed on tax policy developments and collaborate with tax specialists as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees on business trips and assignments.
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and clients to address tax concerns.
  • Assist in financial aspects of client engagements, including billing and tracking metrics.

Job Description

In this position, your role is essential in upholding compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. This position is key in handling the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitating a smooth transition for employees across different countries. Your main objective is to reduce tax-related risks and costs, while ensuring that both the organization and its employees adhere to relevant tax laws.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Assist clients in managing tax-related inquiries, including federal and state income taxes, social security contributions, and payroll considerations.
  • Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
  • Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies to employees, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
  • Support internal teams and clients’ employees in understanding tax responsibilities related to international assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Stay informed on relevant tax policies and industry developments, collaborating with tax specialists when needed.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees on business trips and assignments, providing necessary support and updates.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between internal stakeholders and clients to address any tax-related concerns.
  • Assist in financial aspects of client engagements, including billing and tracking key metrics.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, always ensuring clear and professional communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.

  • Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
