Job summary

Amazon Inc. seeks a Category Manager within the Global Procurement Organization to lead capital sourcing for material handling equipment. You will partner with internal owners and suppliers to develop strategies, run RFPs, negotiate terms, and manage supplier performance across networks including Customer Fulfillment and Transportation.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, advanced Excel ability, and experience in strategic sourcing. Located in the US; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large and complex negotiations.
• Experience solving complex problems under tight deadlines.
• 3+ years cross-functional collaboration with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3+ years defining and implementing data-driven process improvements.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, etc.).
• Strategic sourcing and category management to minimize TCO.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of MHE sourcing strategies across Amazon's networks.
• Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and partners to drive performance.
• Support multi-year strategic plans for material handling spend and supplier base development.
• Facilitate understanding of policies, design standards, budgets, and expectations.
• Develop metrics and data-driven decision making to drive value engineering.
