Job summary

Danfoss, based in Ames, IA, is seeking an Analyst, Manufacturing IT/OT Systems to bridge our global IT infrastructure with shop-floor operations. You will help implement MES and automation systems that power our smart factories, traveling to sites as needed.

The role focuses on integrating MES, HMI, and ERP, providing hands-on IT support worldwide, and developing best practices, documentation, and training for our teams. Associate-level with travel up to 40 days per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or IT is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• 4+ years of hands-on IT experience supporting manufacturing and shop floor systems.
• Strong understanding of the manufacturing execution layer; ISA-95 and ITIL familiarity.
• Experience with SQL databases and SSRS; programming in C#, VB.Net or Python is a plus.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and knowledge of OS, hardware, and networking concepts.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 40 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Integrate core manufacturing systems (MES, HMI, ERP) for a data-driven production environment.
• Provide hands-on and remote IT support for manufacturing sites worldwide.
• Serve as the technical expert for factory teams, troubleshooting and delivering solutions.
• Develop and share best practices, including documentation and training.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun support model and lead key project implementations.
