Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a driven Business Analyst - Digital MES & Mfg Systems to join our team in Faribault, MN. You will plan, design, test, train, implement, and support order management processes and MES systems with leaders and Digital teammates.

You will analyze manufacturing data, collaborate across IT, operations, and engineering, and drive data-driven decisions while delivering training and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related or equivalent experience.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or corporate business environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Expertise in translating complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, materials, and engineering to ensure alignment of goals and data-driven decision-making.
• Investigate issues with manufacturing applications, conducting root cause analysis and aligning resources to correct the issues.
• Lead cross-functional business projects and document requirements and state changes.
• Define high-level project timelines, resource needs, and funding needs.
• Communicate functional requirements to the development team and train end users.
