Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Manager MEL Program in the Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) department. You will coordinate across multiple teams to align MEL, CDL, NEF and TAC programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely FAA submissions.

You will lead Deferral Specialists, manage ARMS/ACMS databases, and uphold safety, reliability and financial performance. Strong leadership and aviation regulation knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience/training.
• 5 years experience in commercial airline maintenance operations (Line or Base).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with departments to develop and approve AA MEL, CDL, NEF, and TAC programs and content.
• Prepare final deferral revisions for FAA submission.
• Maintain revision status of MEL, CDL, NEF, and TAC manuals; coordinate distribution to departments.
• Provide leadership to Deferral Specialists to achieve safety, service, performance and financial goals.
• Maintain AA ACARS Reported Malfunction System (ARMS) and ACMS databases and interfaces.
