Job summary

Frontier Airlines seeks an experienced MEL Program Manager to oversee creation and maintenance of MEL/ CDL/ NEF manuals, ensuring compliance with FAA and MMEL standards. The role entails coordinating with FAA, JAA, and DGAC, leading a MEL Capture Coordinator team, and publishing changes to support safe airworthiness.

The position requires a strong technical writing background, several years of experience in airline maintenance programs, and the ability to work across Maintenance & Operations.

Qualifications

  • Valid FAA A&P license required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years airline or Transport Category Aircraft experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on Airbus aircraft required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience interfacing with the MEL Manual for aircraft operations required.
  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance programs or technical writing experience.
  • Commercial or private Pilot License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the MEL Capture Coordinator and monitor resolution actions to restore aircraft to type design.
  • Manage MEL/CDL/NEF revisions and interface manuals and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Review Master MELs and disposition changes to maintain Type Certificate Data Sheets and Type Design.
  • Coordinate with FAA regarding MEL/CDL/NEF and TDI work.
  • Publish revisions and communicate changes (e.g., Summary of Changes).
  • Coordinate with JAA and DGAC for MMEL proposals.
  • Represent Frontier Airlines in MMEL industry activities.
  • Schedule and chair MEL Steering Committee meetings.
  • Ensure training requirements per GMM 100 are current.
