DLR Group seeks a Medical Education Design Leader to shape the future of medical education planning and design globally. Lead strategy, expand the portfolio, and mobilize resources across a global firm to foster growth and excellence.

You will influence national and international markets, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and elevate environments for healthcare education, simulation, and research. A senior leader, you will mentor emerging leaders and partner with university clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• 15+ years planning and design experience, including leadership on medical education projects.
• Established national portfolio in medical education.
• Proven success in client-facing leadership for higher education work.
• Expertise in programming, planning, and design for medical education spaces.
• Ability to develop and translate strategic vision into priorities with senior leadership.
• Collaborates across offices and disciplines to lead projects.
• Understanding of integrated design across architecture, engineering, interiors, and specialties.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication; highly organized.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Shape worldwide strategy and growth plan for medical education planning and design.
• Lead pursuit strategy, proposals, interviews, and design concepts to win work.
• Expand national and international reach by identifying new clients and markets.
• Guide programming, conceptual thinking, and design development for medical education environments.
• Coordinate with leaders across offices to align teams and deliver outcomes.
• Identify talent needs, support recruitment, and mentor future leaders.
• Lead collaborative workshops and critiques translating education models into learning environments.
• Advance the firm’s visibility in medical education through conferences and publications.
