DLR Group is seeking a Medical Education Design Leader to shape the future of medical education design and planning. This senior, firmwide role offers national influence and international growth, with opportunity to expand an established portfolio and build the team behind its next chapter.

Working with the Global Higher Education Leader and regional teams, you will guide strategy, pursue major opportunities, mentor leaders, and advance design excellence across offices and disciplines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of planning and design experience with leadership on medical education projects.
• Established national portfolio in medical education.
• Proven record leading client-facing initiatives and pursuing higher education work.
• Strong skills in programming, planning, and design for medical education environments.
• Ability to develop strategic vision and translate into priorities with senior leadership.
• Proven collaboration across multiple offices and disciplines.
• Understanding of integrated design coordination across architecture, engineering, interiors, and specialties.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; highly organized.
• Ability to travel as project and practice needs require.

Responsibilities

• Shape worldwide growth plan for medical education planning and design.
• Partner with leadership to position for opportunities through proposals and interviews.
• Expand national and international reach by identifying new clients and markets.
• Lead programming, concept development, and design for medical education environments.
• Collaborate with leaders across offices to share expertise and align outcomes.
• Mentor designers and planners; develop future leaders in medical education.
• Lead workshops and critiques to translate medical education models into spaces.
• Grow the firm’s presence through conferences, publications, and client relationships.
