Job summary

Amazon, through AWS, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and lifecycle management of cooling products for data centers worldwide. You will own mechanical infrastructure initiatives, collaborate with global teams, and drive reliability improvements across the product life cycle.

You will engage in cross-functional work with manufacturing, suppliers, reliability, and operations to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience developing Mechanical and/or Mechanical Cooling Products.
• 8+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering judgement and recommendations amidst uncertainty.
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Collaborate with global mechanical suppliers and manufacturers.
• Build trust with stakeholders in reliability, operations, design, and compliance.
• Work on multiple projects across geographic zones.
• Explain complex systems clearly to non-engineering audiences.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and operating procedure reviews for mechanical and electrical issues.
