Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own and improve data center liquid cooling infrastructure. You will work with global teams to understand products during development and testing, maintaining ownership throughout operational life.

Lead in cooling design concepts, review submittals, and collaborate with suppliers across regions. Domestic travel ~30% and opportunities to contribute to a scalable, secure cloud future.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering judgement and recommendations under uncertainty.
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals for data center cooling systems.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and manufacturers for product improvements.
• Support operations with failure analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Explain complex systems clearly to cross-functional teams.
