Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own and advance mechanical (Cooling) infrastructure products across AWS data centers.

You will help design, manufacture, and sustain high‑reliability mechanical systems, traveling internationally as needed to support global projects. You’ll work with a global engineering team on product lifecycle ownership, engineering governance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure optimal reliability and availability for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of critical data center or mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment and hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering judgement and recommendations despite uncertainty.
• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Work with global mechanical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Support Operations including failure mode analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Collaborate with product development to understand product lifecycle and drive improvements.
