Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to execute end-to-end planning for spares and IDM materials, coordinating with demand planning to optimize inventory for production uptime.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain or related field (or an Associate with 2+ years in the function), APICS/ISM certification preferred, and experience with MRP/SAP in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or business field; OR Associates degree with minimum 2 years’ experience in a Supply Chain function.
• APICS/ISM Certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in a supply chain function.
• Experience with MRP concepts and one or more ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensures there is a PFEP aligned with the planning strategy; Executes to plan.
• Analyzes/modifies planned orders based on inventory levels and data; suggests PO volume changes.
• Assesses supply capacity vs global demand and informs cross-functional teams.
• Manages global balancing of supply across sites in constrained situations.
• Ensures accurate supplier forecast data for cross functional teams.
• Manages transitions to ramp new materials and minimize obsolescence.
• Maintains system planning master data for assigned materials.
• Monitors inventory changes and investigates root causes.
• Supports requests from other departments and maintains cross-team communications.
• May travel internationally to support customers and operations.
