Job description

The Global Master Data Manager leads a team of master data analysts responsible for the integrity, governance, and optimization of master data across enterprise systems. This role will primarily focus on Pricing and Business Partner domains, but may support other master data areas, depending on business needs. Regardless of the master domain focus, the role is accountable for team performance, process excellence, cross-functional partnership, and continuous improvement of master data capabilities.

You’ll Make a Difference By
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of analysts; setting clear expectations, providing regular coaching, and building capability through cross-training and inclusive collaboration.
  • Ensuring team adherence to SLAs, removing blockers, and fostering a growth mindset culture focused on continuous improvement.
Master Data Ownership, Quality & Governance
  • Owning end-to-end master data lifecycle across assigned domains; setting team priorities, resolving cross-functional conflicts, and ensuring audit-readiness at all times.
  • Defining and enforcing data quality standards, naming conventions, and exception management processes; developing and maintaining SOPs and team KPIs.
  • Leading root cause analysis and corrective action for complex data issues; ensuring data quality metrics inform decisions across partnering functions.
Data Integrity Risk, Fraud Awareness & Cybersecurity
  • Ensuring segregation of duties, access controls, and mass upload process controls (e.g., Precisely Automate, LSMW) are in place and followed; reinforcing escalation protocols through regular team practice.
  • Recognizing patterns indicating data manipulation or process bypass and leading appropriate response; maintaining a culture where no unusual change goes unreviewed.
  • Identifying and closing gaps in how sensitive data is stored, shared, or transmitted; partnering with IT Security when new tools or process changes introduce risk.
AI, Emerging Tools & Process Improvement
  • Evaluating AI and automation tools for team use; ensuring appropriate guardrails and human accountability are in place before deployment.
  • Owning the team's continuous improvement roadmap; deploying automation to reduce cycle time and error risk and validating results before closing out changes.
  • Partnering with IT on integrations and system enhancements; leading team readiness for releases, UAT, and changing management.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serving as senior subject matter expert and escalation point for master data; representing the team in milestone reviews and advocating for process improvement
  • Aligning team priorities to seasonal and project-based business needs across Product, Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations.
  • Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs.
About You
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or bring equivalent professional experience. You have demonstrated experience managing or governing master data in a structured enterprise environment.
  • You bring 4+ years of ERP experience (SAP AFS or S/4HANA preferred) and 1 to 2+ years in a lead or people management capacity.
  • You have strong knowledge of how master data supports Planning, Inventory Control, B2B tools, and DC operations, and how data flows across enterprise systems.
  • You have experience in pricing data governance, sales program strategy, and compliance; this background is strongly preferred.
  • You bring a solid understanding of data governance principles, fraud risk controls, data protection practices, and master data lifecycle management.
  • You communicate complex data topics clearly and adapt your style to the audience, from analyst teams to senior leadership.
  • You manage competing priorities across the team and the business with accuracy and follow-through.
  • You bring an analytical, customer-centric growth mindset and a genuine passion for data quality, process excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • You are comfortable evaluating and adopting new tools, including AI-assisted capabilities, with sound judgment about risk and readiness.
  • You have change management experience and know how to bring people along through process and system changes, not just implement them.
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite; experience with AI, Smartsheet, Tableau, Cognos, or SAP reporting tools is a plus.
