Job summary

Rain is seeking a Market Expansion Lead to drive local product launches globally from inception to sustainable operations. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment, coordinating with legal, compliance, and GTM teams to ensure compliant market entry and scalable execution.

Ideal candidates bring 6–10 years in strategy consulting, PE operations, or regulated fintech, with a proven ability to lead end-to-end initiatives, travel extensively, and operate across multiple geographies from

Qualifications

• Background in strategy consulting, private equity operations, or operating roles in regulated fintech or payments.
• Strong written communication for formal documents and high-stakes meetings.
• Ability to navigate multiple workstreams (pricing, tech, legal, compliance) and identify what matters.
• Proven project management of complex programs to completion.
• Ability to deliver high output despite challenges and tight timelines.
• Curiosity to delve into technical topics when needed.
• Willingness to travel and spend substantial time in target markets.
• Based in or willing to relocate to New York or Madrid.

Responsibilities

• Be Global: spend significant time, in person, in each market you launch.
• Be Autonomous: own a market launch end to end until the business runs independently.
• Operate Across the Company: collaborate with legal to manage regulatory processes for license expansion or transfer.
• Define and execute the operationalization strategy for each market.
• Identify and remove blockers to fast market launches.
• Coordinate and drive a 100-day plan for each market with owners and timelines.
• Identify and hire key local roles and coach them through initial weeks.
• Detect gaps and remediations before they become problems.
• Own and improve the launch playbook.
