Job summary

Rain is seeking a senior leader for Market Expansion to own end-to-end launches in new geographies. You will work across legal, compliance, and GTM to deploy Rain’s technology and teams in local markets, with a focus on rapid, accountable execution.

You’ll spend substantial time traveling, coordinating 100-day plans, and hiring the local leaders to drive a successful product rollout in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Background: roughly 6 to 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity operations, or an operating role in a regulated fintech or payments business.
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality formal documents and present in high-stakes meetings with regulators, investors, partners, customers.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams (pricing, tech, legal, compliance) and identify what matters amid complexity.

Responsibilities

• Be Global: Spend significant time, in person, in each market you launch.
• Be Autonomous: Own a market launch end to end, from entry decision to self-sustaining business.
• Operate Across the Company: Work with our legal team to manage local regulatory processes for licence expansion or transfer.
• Define and execute the operationalization strategy for each market, including deployment of Rain's tech, team and systems.
• Identify and solve blockers to quick market launch.
• Coordinate and drive a 100 day plan for each market, with workstream owners and timelines.
• Hire key local roles and ramp them up quickly.
• Detect gaps and remediations before they become problems.
• Own and improve the playbook.
