Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Thousand Oaks to drive programs across global manufacturing sites. Lead capital projects, apply Agile and GMP principles, and partner with business and technology leaders to align strategies with regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong OT platforms experience (Aveva Pi, DeltaV, Rockwell, MES), program management expertise, and the ability to build high-performing teams while advancing scalable, compliant manufacturing

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate or high school with extensive information systems/manufacturing automation experience.
• Experience around manufacturing core systems in OT and enterprise architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead large capital projects and product teams with Agile delivery in GMP environments.
• Prioritize demand, manage backlogs, balance local and global needs.
• Manage finances, resources, vendors, scope, schedule, and quality targets.
• Define global standards and templates for OT project design and deployment.
• Ensure GMP compliance, data integrity, and electronic batch records.
• Collaborate across site, IT, OT, Quality, and external integrators.
• Own global OT roadmap including upgrades, harmonization, and deployments.
• Present status updates to senior leadership at governance meetings.
