Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Associate Director of Learning & Development for Manufacturing & Global Supply Chain to design and deploy enterprise learning programs across our global plant network. You will partner with Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, HR, and other leaders to identify capability needs and develop scalable solutions that raise workforce readiness and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in learning, workforce capability, enablement, technical training, or related disciplines in large, complex organizations.
• Experience supporting frontline/technical/operational/industrial populations.
• Experience developing role-based learning architectures, curricula, qualification frameworks, or onboarding systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise manufacturing learning strategy and roadmap for production workforce capability.
• Identify capability gaps and prioritize learning investments aligned to safety, quality, productivity, and readiness.
• Lead enterprise technical learning architectures across manufacturing environments (assembly, welding, equipment operation, maintenance, safety, onboarding).
• Develop role-based learning pathways, qualification frameworks, and certification requirements for global plants.
• Govern enterprise learning standards, products, curricula, and governance processes across regions.
• Lead complex learning initiatives coordinating multiple domains (manufacturing, leadership, onboarding, Lean).
• Apply Johnson Controls Business System principles to learning and drive data-informed decisions.
