Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Capital Projects Manager for PET preforms and rigid containers. You will oversee multi-site programs from concept to qualification, ensuring productivity, timing and budget alignment while supporting cost reduction initiatives in manufacturing locations.

Lead BOM creation, feasibility studies, and upgrade plans; manage plant infrastructure, equipment performance, and vendor evaluation. Travel approximately 60% to drive projects and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 7+ years professional engineering experience in plastics packaging with 7+ years in project management.
• Strong interpersonal, management and communication skills.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience evaluating on-site manufacturing opportunities and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are included in project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into action plans with input from leadership and resources.
• Review plant infrastructure, layout and equipment against project requirements.
• Analyze equipment performance, cost, tooling, workflow and vendors.
• Communicate and resolve technical, timing and budget issues; publish weekly status reports.
• Create and maintain division-level technical specifications and documentation.
• Communicate with plants to monitor long-term project performance and resolve issues.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Travel ~60%.
