Job summary

Babson College seeks a Director, Development (International) to lead major gift strategy across a globally dispersed portfolio, targeting gifts of $100,000 and above.

You will manage 350+ international prospects, cultivate relationships across cultures, and partner with leadership to advance Babson’s strategic priorities. This role requires significant travel and onsite engagement with donors and collaborators worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive experience in major gift fundraising.
• Demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Proven ability to manage a globally dispersed portfolio with international travel.
• Strong cross-cultural competency and ability to engage across diverse regions.
• Experience working across multiple time zones and complex global logistics.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with all college levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 350+ high net-worth individuals internationally and solicit $100,000+ gifts.
• Develop and execute strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts globally.
• Conduct 18–20 face-to-face meetings per month.
• Prepare proposals for gift solicitations aligned with fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with leadership, faculty, trustees, and volunteers to advance donor strategies.
• Prepare briefings and solicitation strategies for leadership visits with donors.
• Expand the international donor pipeline and coordinate engagement strategies.
• Solicit alumni participation in annual giving and represent Babson at events.
