Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts is seeking an accomplished freight forwarding leader to direct branch operations across air, ocean, and domestic transports. You will drive growth, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, and related regulations.

You will lead teams, manage budgets, and build strategic carrier partnerships while delivering superior service and operational excellence in the DC metro region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field.
• 7–15 years of freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation experience.
• Minimum of 5 years leading freight forwarding operations and teams.
• Proven track record in business development, customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Deep knowledge of international air/ocean freight, customs, and domestic transport.

Responsibilities

• Direct all branch operations: air import/export, ocean freight, domestic transportation, warehousing, and customer service.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to support growth, efficiency, and service excellence.
• Drive performance against metrics: productivity, on-time delivery, quality, cost control, customer satisfaction.
• Ensure readiness for time-critical, high-value, DG, pharmaceutical, and AOG shipments.
• Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for the branch.
• Oversee TSA screening, Known Shipper compliance, security protocols, and audits.
• Own branch P&L, vendor invoicing, billing, and credit decisions.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability while managing costs and risks.
