Job summary

Urschel, a global manufacturer of cutting equipment, seeks a Global Logistics Supervisor to lead domestic and international shipping operations and support the trade compliance program at its Chesterton, Indiana HQ.

Reporting to the Customer Operations Manager, the role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and proactive process improvements in a hands-on, non-remote setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or shipping operations.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day domestic and international shipping activities (LTL/FTL and international parcels).
• Ensure trade compliance requirements are followed and escalate as needed.
• Serve as escalation point for transportation, documentation, customs and shipment issues.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve processes, service levels, and efficiency.
