Job summary

The Simplot Company in Boise, Idaho is seeking an International Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end international order and shipment processing. You will coordinate front-end order setup, back-end shipping documentation, and carrier engagements to meet customer and supply chain targets.

Responsibilities include interfacing with multiple departments to ensure compliance, optimizing transport routes by air, ocean, and ground, and maintaining accurate shipment records while upholding service

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field, or 2 years equivalent experience in supply chain.
Familiar with international logistics and compliance, including HTS, duties and tariffs, and INCOTERMS
Experience in logistics and transportation, including industry terminology.
Competent computer literacy across MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and ERPs such as JDE, SAP, or other preferred.
Experience in dealing with transportation and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Attends team meetings and organizational initiatives as necessary.
Communicates regularly with team members and management to inform on international service operations activities and opportunities for process improvement.
Interact with multiple departments to ensure inventory, quality, and regulatory requirements are met.
Lead and train team members in processing updates related to international services.
Set daily, weekly and monthly directions and organize work.
Process customer orders and resolve shipment issues including delays and freight claims.
Maintain order management and communications to enhance efficiency.
Support price upkeep and maintenance for customers, freight and products.
