Job summary

SBH Fashion in New York seeks a Logistics Coordinator to oversee the movement of goods from factories to distribution centers and retailers. You will ensure on-time delivery, accurate inventory flow, and clear communication across production, distribution, and sales teams.

The role focuses on inbound shipments, PO tracking, and import/export documentation, working with freight forwarders, vendors, and warehouse partners. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with EDI/ERP systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export coordination.
• Apparel or wholesale/retail experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with international shipping documentation and Incoterms.
• Comfortable working in EDI/ERP/ASN systems.
• Ability to review and decipher vendor manuals and routing guides.
• Working knowledge of tariff/customs basics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
• Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
• Track purchase orders from factory shipment through warehouse receipt, monitoring for delays, while flagging and communicating issues proactively.
• Main point of contact for internal business teams on order status and escalations.
• Manage import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs paperwork).
• Communicate with overseas vendors and factories on shipment schedules and production timelines.
• Track containers, ETAs, and port-to-DC visibility.
• Partner with 3rd party warehouse team to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and outbound routing.
• Coordinate with 3rd party back-office team.
• Maintain and update shipment tracking logs and reporting for internal teams.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies and damaged goods claims.
• Ensure compliance with retailer routing guides and vendor compliance requirements, and tracking and managing chargebacks.
• Support inventory reconciliation and cycle count processes as needed.
• Maintain freight forwarder and steamship line relationships.
