Job summary

Observable Space in Adrian, Michigan is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of materials, components, and finished systems across the US and globally. You will coordinate shipments from planning through delivery, working with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure on-time arrival and proactive issue resolution.

The role blends manufacturing, supply chain, and customer delivery, with responsibility for international shipping, documentation, tracking, and building

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transportation, freight, shipping, supply chain coordination.
• Experience coordinating domestic shipments; exposure to international shipping and customs documentation preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple shipments and priorities.
• Attention to detail in preparing and reviewing shipping documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, adapt quickly when plans change, and drive issues to resolution.
• Comfort working with ERP systems, shipping platforms, spreadsheets, and other logistics tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Plan through final delivery and track status to ensure materials and systems arrive on time
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs docs
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and partners for international shipments and customs clearance
• Maintain shipment records and escalate complex issues when needed
