This role serves as a key liaison among vendors, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations.

The position requires 5+ years of freight and ocean experience, Spanish language skills, and strong Excel/Office capabilities, with a focus on cost

Qualifications

5+ years of international freight trucking and ocean experience.
Bilingual in Spanish for effective communication with South American partners.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage high workloads with tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document complex cases clearly.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison with the operations team in importing/exporting equipment to foreign countries.
Partner with 3rd party ocean freight forwarders, consignees, customs brokers, and customers.
Set up and monitor door-to-door transportation via ocean, air, rail, and truck.
Negotiate rates and manage freight costs; develop and maintain relationships with carriers.
Coordinate shipment information; ensure compliance with customs requirements and proper documentation.
Verify POD, BOL, and customs filings; finalize billing and distribute documents.
