Responsibilities

• Conduct freight negotiations with carriers, haulers, freight handlers, and agents.
• Overseas communications including overnight correspondence.
• Approve and post vendor invoices and bill customers after shipment.
• Prepare invoices and shipping documents (export Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, origin).
• Interact with customers, vendors and foreign agents; respond to shipment status requests.
• Complete cargo assessment to determine best route for cargo movement.
• Manage suppliers, sub-contractors and third party cargo handlers; inform customer of prices, dates, delays.

The deugro group specializes inseveral independently operating service areas to ensure the successful handlingof the operative business for the deugro group. All supporting functions suchas Controlling, Finance, Human Resources, Business Processes and IT,Consolidation, Marketing, and QHSES are consolidated in one entity.

The Senior Project Coordinator will have the responsibility to arrange transportation of goods for various project assignments. Responsible for the successful, proactive daily operation of export and import, sea and heavy haul freight forwarding activities. Any rail and barge knowledge is considered a plus.

Key responsibilities:

• Conducts freight negotiations with carriers, haulers, freight handlers, deugro overseas offices and agents for all modes of transportation, to ensure price competitiveness and profitability
  
• Responsible for overseas communications that includes anticipation of needs in overnight correspondence.
• Approve and post vendor invoices and bill customers after shipment is complete
• Prepares invoices and shipping documents such as, but not limited to export Bill of Lading (MBL, HBL), commercial invoices, certificate of origin
• Interacting with customers, vendors and foreign agents
  Responding in a timely manner to customer request on shipment status
• Completes cargo assessment to determine the best possible method route to implement in cargo movement
• Manage suppliers, sub-contractors and third party cargo handlers
  Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
