Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company hiring for a Licensing/Regulatory role. You will support state licensing, reporting, and compliance across the U.S., collaborating with Legal, Public Affairs, and Finance to meet regulatory obligations.

The role requires several years in licensing/compliance within consumer financial services, strong project management, and excellent communication. Base pay varies by state with significant total compensation potential including equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of licensing/compliance/regulatory experience ideally related to consumer financial services.
• Outstanding time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Proven project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support new product & service launches related to state licensing and reporting.
• Collaborate with legal, public affairs, compliance, finance, tax to meet regulatory obligations.
• Maintain the central repository for licensing and reporting obligations.
• Prepare and submit state licensing annual reports and MSB call reports.
• Ensure timely regulatory filings and identify licensing issues in the licensing tool.
• Lead ongoing renewal applications and forms across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to fulfill ongoing state licensing requirements.
• Develop processes leveraging AI to increase licensing program efficiency.
• Assist in researching and incorporating licensing requirements into the licensing tool.
