Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Corporate Security Engineering - Lead Engineer to join the Corporate Engineering team in New York City, with potential placement in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL (4 days in-office).

You will own the Genetec-based access control and video platforms globally, lead a high‑performing engineering team, migrate from legacy systems, and partner with Cybersecurity, Risk, Network/Cloud, and Facilities to align security capabilities with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in physical security engineering.
• 3-5+ years leading engineering teams or global/remote teams.
• Hands-on Genetec Security solutions knowledge at enterprise scale.
• Experience migrating from legacy PACS/CCTV to Genetec.
• Strong Windows and Linux admin; SQL, PowerShell, Python.
• Solid networking fundamentals; VPNs, firewalls, QoS.
• Familiar with cybersecurity practices and SIEM integrations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a global team of engineers designing and operating physical security platforms (access control and video).
• Provide end-to-end management for Genetec Security Center deployments.
• Drive migration from legacy systems with cutover planning and stakeholder coordination.
• Plan updates, firmware upgrades, and patches with rollback and change records.
• Onboard emerging tech such as biometrics and video analytics offerings.
• Establish KPIs/OKRs and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Security operations, Network/Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Risk/Compliance, and Facilities.
