Job summary

BNY is seeking a Corporate Security Engineering – Lead Engineer to own the Engineering implementation of security platforms, focusing on Genetec Access Control and CCTV. The role is based in New York City with in-office expectations (4 days in-office).

You will lead a global engineering team, migrate from legacy systems, and partner with Cyber, Risk/Compliance, and Facilities to align platform capabilities with business needs. Strong Windows/Linux, scripting, and networking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in physical security engineering
• 3–5+ years leading engineering teams or managing a global/remote team
• Hands-on expertise with Genetec Security solutions including architecture/design, configuration, and operations at enterprise scale
• Experience migrating from legacy PACS/CCTV platforms to Genetec including cutover strategies
• Strong Windows and Linux server administration; SQL, PowerShell, Python for automation/integration
• Solid networking fundamentals; VPN, firewalls, VLANs; collaboration with network teams
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, identity/access governance, and SIEM integrations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a global team of engineers for physical security platforms (access control and video)
• Provide end-to-end system management for Genetec Security Center installation
• Drive migration from legacy systems to Genetec including architecture and data migrations
• Plan and execute system updates, firmware upgrades, and change records
• Support break/fix and incident management across the Physical Security space
• Onboard and implement biometrics and video analytics solutions
• Establish and report KPIs/OKRs and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Security Ops, Network/Cloud, Cybersecurity, Risk/Compliance, and Facilities
