Job summary

M1 Global Security in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Genetec Systems Administrator to own end-to-end Genetec access control and video management for a global user base across 100+ locations. Lead system management, reliability, and security while coordinating with stakeholders to deliver resilient physical security services.

The role requires hands-on Genetec experience, multi-site deployment expertise, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Genetec enterprise environments experience, including Security Center administration.
• Ability to independently configure, troubleshoot, and support Genetec systems in multi-site, multi-region contexts.
• Experience with complex Genetec environments across data centers, corporate, or large facilities.
• Certifications and familiarity with Genetec, ClearID, Axis, Mercury, 2N, HID, Fargo, Life Safety Power, Idemia, Princeton Identity, KeyWatcher, Traka, Assa Abloy.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Genetec Security Center across access control and video, including device and camera management.
• Manage roles, permissions, and user lifecycle with least-privilege access and audit readiness.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, controllers, readers, cameras, and intercom endpoints; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Plan system updates, firmware upgrades, patches, and validate rollback plans and change records.
• Provision and manage Sipelia intercom systems; optimize call routing and audio quality.
• Develop operational reports (events, alarms, access audits, uptime) for stakeholders and compliance.
• Oversee third‑party plug‑ins and biometric integrations; ensure compatibility and licensing.
• Administer key management workflows with chain-of-custody and incident procedures.
• Maintain runbooks and knowledge bases; support global teams.
• Collaborate with facilities, security operations, and network teams to resolve cross-domain issues.
