Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Manager, Head of KYC in a remote-first, hybrid environment. You will own the global KYC program strategy, design, and execution across regulated entities, leading a team of professionals and coordinating with cross-functional partners to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

You will serve as a senior escalation point for onboarding matters, drive policy development, and report KPIs to executives, balancing compliance with business velocity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing, designing, and implementing KYC programs at a financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of global AML, CTF, and sanctions regulations and translating them into scalable KYC design across jurisdictions.
• Proven track record of building and scaling a global KYC program from design through execution.
• Experience serving as a senior escalation point for KYC/onboarding matters and regulators.
• Ability to manage multiple regulatory initiatives and provide executive-level reporting.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategic direction of Coinbase's Global KYC program, including policy development and implementation.
• Lead a team of KYC professionals across second-line compliance and ensure consistent execution.
• Drive KYC issue management, corrective actions, and improvements across jurisdictions.
• Partner with sales, product, engineering, and regulatory teams to design KYC for new products/jurisdictions.
• Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual for regulatory reporting and senior-level KPI reporting.
• Shape interpretation of global KYC requirements in collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
