Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Head of KYC within Central Compliance to own global strategy, policy, and execution for KYC across Coinbase's regulated entities.

You will lead a team of KYC professionals, drive program design across jurisdictions, and ensure scalable compliance while meeting evolving regulatory requirements. This role requires deep AML/CTF knowledge, experience building global programs, and strong coordination with Legal, Regulatory, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in managing, designing, and implementing KYC programs at a financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of global AML, CTF, and sanctions regulations and how to translate them into scalable KYC design.
• Proven track record of building and scaling a global KYC program from design to execution.
• Experience as a senior escalation point for KYC/onboarding matters and regulatory liaison.
• Ability to manage multiple regulatory initiatives in a matrixed environment with exec reporting.
• Responsible use of generative AI to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end strategic direction of Coinbase's Global KYC program and policy.
• Lead a team of KYC professionals across second-line compliance and ensure cross-jurisdiction consistency.
• Drive KYC issue management, corrective actions, and enhancements across the program.
• Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and regulatory stakeholders to launch KYC initiatives.
• Serve as the DRI for regulatory reporting and provide senior level KPI reporting.
• Shape interpretation of global KYC requirements with Legal and business teams.
