Ball Aerospace, based in Colorado, seeks a Director, Assistant General Counsel International Trade Compliance to lead Ball’s global trade compliance program across sanctions, export controls, customs, tariffs, and related requirements. The role partners with Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and executives to manage risk and enable compliant growth.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active U.S. state bar.
10+ years of progressive experience in trade compliance.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
In-house counsel experience in global manufacturing/supply chains is preferred.
Depth in OFAC, EAR, ITAR and related regimes; experience with non-U.S. regimes.

Responsibilities

Lead global ITC program governance, standards, oversight, escalation pathways, and accountability frameworks.
Design and manage ITC risk controls, policies, procedures, and training across functions.
Manage investigations, disclosures, and regulator engagements with U.S. and international authorities.
Monitor regulatory changes and advise on tariffs, sanctions, and export controls impacting Ball’s operations.
Drive continuous improvement through risk assessments, audits, KPIs, and cross-functional partnerships.
Provide legal advice on ITC issues in due diligence for strategic transactions and contracts.
