Job summary

Power Integrations seeks a Chief Intellectual Property Counsel to lead the company’s global IP strategy and portfolio. You will supervise a team of patent attorneys and agents, guide patent filing and maintenance, and partner with engineering and leadership to maximize IP value.

Responsibilities include strategy, risk management, licensing, and enforcement for a broad technology portfolio. Prior in‑house experience with public companies is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive intellectual property experience including significant patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience managing a substantial global patent portfolio.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications in semiconductor, power electronics, analog, or related tech.
• Experience leading and managing patent attorneys, patent agents, and IP professionals.
• Experience supervising foreign patent prosecution via outside counsel.
• Experience advising senior executives on IP strategy and risk management.
• In‑house public company experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Company’s global IP strategy.
• Lead patent portfolio development and prosecution.
• Oversee IP risk management, enforcement, and transactions.
• Manage trademark and trade secret protection programs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop IP team members.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for foreign filings and maintenance.
