Specialized Bicycle Components is seeking a Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property to lead global IP strategy, oversee patent/trademark portfolios, and provide strategic guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams worldwide. The role involves managing IP litigation, drafting and negotiating IP agreements, and ensuring compliance with international IP laws.

You will collaborate with R&D, product, and marketing to identify and protect innovative assets, train teams on IP best practices,

• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills with global IP experience.
• Ability to lead complex projects and advise senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of global IP strategy for patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Advise leadership and product/engineering teams on IP risks and licensing opportunities.
• Manage IP litigation, dispute resolution, and enforcement actions.
• Oversee patent and trademark filings, prosecution, and portfolio management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements (licensing, tech transfer, NDAs).
• Ensure compliance with international IP laws and internal policies.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, and marketing to protect assets.
