Job summary

Power Integrations seeks a Chief Intellectual Property Counsel to lead the company’s global IP strategy and manage a team of patent attorneys, agents, and paralegals. You will partner with engineering and executive leadership to identify, protect, and leverage innovations across the portfolio.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will oversee patents, trademarks, trade secrets, licensing, and IP risk management, while aligning initiatives with business objectives and budgets for sustained

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, physics, semiconductor engineering, computer engineering, or related technical discipline strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global IP strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Lead portfolio reviews and make recommendations on filing, maintenance, licensing, and enforcement.
• Manage outside counsel and oversee foreign prosecution and maintenance budgets.
• Advise executives on IP opportunities, risks, and strategic positioning.
• Oversee trademark and trade secret protection programs and risk management.
