Job summary

Compassion International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist III to partner with leaders, assess internal needs and craft integrated strategies that connect to enterprise priorities.

You will write compelling narratives, guide multi-language content, and responsibly use AI tools to elevate communications across the ministry. The role blends strategic advisory with hands-on execution, collaborating across teams to inform and inspire staff while upholding Compassion’s mission

Qualifications

• 7+ years in internal or corporate communications
• Experience partnering with leaders to assess needs and develop plans
• Strong strategic thinking linked to organizational goals
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management
• Experience delivering communications across multiple channels
• Curiosity with AI-enabled tools and emerging tech
• Ability to translate strategy into hands-on execution
• Experience using measurement and audience insights

Responsibilities

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness within Compassion’s community.
• Advise leaders and internal clients; provide strategic communications counsel.
• Develop integrated communication plans aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Translate complex decisions into clear, compelling narratives for employees.
• Collaborate across functions and regions; create multilingual communications experiences.
• Produce clear materials across emails, digital channels, video, town halls and leadership communications.
• Apply AI thoughtfully to strengthen research, planning and execution of communications.
• Measure impact and apply insights to future strategies; support external communications as needed.
